Breast cancer

Primary breast cancer is a cancer that started in the cells of the breast. In Canada, breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer among females. It is also one of the leading causes of death from cancer. Breast cancer survival may be affected by screening, diagnosis, treatment and other factors. While breast cancer in males is rare, the prognosis is generally worse than for females.
