Cancer mortality

Cancer mortality is the number of deaths attributed to cancer in a given time period, usually one calendar year.  Similar to cancer incidence, cancer mortality is also commonly presented either as a direct count or a rate (per 100,000 people) in a given population.  The mortality of cancer can vary by age, sex, geography, treatment path and other factors.
